About me

Hi there,

I thought I'd share a little bit of information about me. I'm a practicing artist who's extremely lucky to live in a beautiful part of North Queensland in Australia, right on the beach in a little seaside village which is backed by bushland. It's a very quiet community which suits me down to the ground as I'm just not a 'townie' at all having grown up in the bush in outback Queensland most of my life and living in the bush as an adult as well.

Creativity has been a major part of my life and has kept me 'sane' while holding down a hugely stressful job in education leading schools. Being able to put my feelings and experiences into my artwork helped me make sense of all of life's little and big challenges. Now that I'm 'retired' I've time to meander gently through the day, spending time complemplating the many mysteries that are out there while drinking coffee and watching the day drift by.

Time in the art space is shared by Ralph our Groodle, who joined our family as a much love School Support Therapy Dog and who retired when I retired. He is now a very spoiled studio dog and fishing buddy for my hubby and he continues to rule our household.
